Our why
At A Taste of Melanin, we believe that black culture is beautiful, complex, and often misunderstood. In today’s media landscape, the black community is often portrayed in a negative light, and we want to change that narrative. Our goal is to showcase the rich history, art, music, and traditions of black culture, and to help people gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of its many facets.
The Vision
Our vision is to create a world where black culture is celebrated and elevated, and where everyone in the community has access to meaningful experiences that showcase its diversity and richness. By creating multiple access points, we aim to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with black culture in new and exciting ways.
The Mission
Our mission is to create inclusive spaces where people can learn about and acknowledge the profound influence of black people on American culture. Through education, art, and entertainment, we aim to promote understanding, compassion, and respect for the many contributions that black people have made to our society. We believe that by sharing these stories, we can create a more just and equitable world for all.
